Cliff Harris Waived By Eagles

Cornerback Cliff Harris has been waived by the Philadelphia Eagles, per a Tweet from Eagles Insider earlier this morning. The Eagles must make four more cuts or moves on their roster by Monday at 4:00 p.m. Eastern in order to meet the NFL mandated preseason roster limit of 75 players.

Harris, a former All-American kick returner and cornerback for the Univeristy of Oregon Ducks, was signed by Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent earlier this year. After successful 2010 and 2011 seasons in Eugene, where Harris notched five interceptions and four punt returns for touchdowns, the cornerback was suspended and dismissed from the Ducks' program after a series of traffic citations and a citation for marijuana possession.

This dismissal is likely to have caused Harris to fall from an early-round type NFL Draft prospect to an undrafted, and subsequently waived, free agent.
