Philadelphia Eagles Name Akeem Jordan Starting Weakside LB

The Philadelphia Eagles ended one of their position battles Sunday afternoon by naming Akeem Jordan the starting weakside linebacker.

Jordan takes over the position that has been a weak spot in recent years for the team, and he'll look to bring stability to the middle of the defense. Jordan has been using sparingly as a starter. However, he did make 10 starts for the Eagles back in 2009.

This detailed breakdown of Jordan's play by John Breitenbach of Bleeding Green Nation back at the beginning of the preseason was a sign of things to come, as Jordan's play definitely proved he was ready to be a starter.

Breitenbach also just released this in-depth look at Jordan's fellow linebackers and the problems they had when trying for the starting position.
