The Philadelphia Eagles wrapped up their preseason schedule on Thursday night with secondary issues as safety O.J. Atogwe aggravated a prior hamstrung injury, leaving the field during the second quarter of the 28-10 win over the New York Jets.

Atogwe, the former Pro Bowler, was considered a near lock to make it past roster cut day before the injury, but now, after missing time is previous preseason contests for the same reason, his status is uncertain.

Making the situation less clear was the solid play of second year safety Jaiquawn Jarrett on Thursday night. Head coach Andy Reid liked what he saw, according to the article:

"I thought (Jarrett) did a nice job actually," Reid said. "He showed up tonight. He's a big hitter."

Elsewhere on the Eagles, defensive end Jason Babin did not play Thursday night but is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns; the same for quarterback Michael Vick, who is, according to offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, "close to 100 percent."
