2012 Olympics: United States Win Bronze In Men's Four Rowing

The United States Men's Four rowing team won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games held at Dorney Lake in Windsor, England.

The United States finished with a time of 6:07.20, almost four seconds behind gold medalists Great Britain, who won with a time of 6:03.97. The victory clinched the host's fourth straight Olympic gold medal in the event. Australia were awarded the silver with a time 6:05.19.

The four-member team of Philadelphia, PA native Glenn Ochal, Henrik Rummel, Charlie Cole and Scott Gault started off the 2000-meter course in third place, and held that position for the entire race. With the exception of a small run between the 1000-meter and the 1500-meter marks, the United States were never able to close in on either the Australians and the Britons and kept the Greeks from overtaking their spot on the podium.
