Team USA Gymnastics Goes For Gold On Final Day Of Event Finals

Team USA Gymnastics, both men & women, will have more shot at a golden evening as they compete in tonight's event finals. NBC will show the finals of the women's floor exercise & balance beam as well as the men's high bar & parallel bars tonight during prime time. However the event will be streamed live online on NBCOlympics.com starting at 9am eastern. Women's balance beam is scheduled for 9:47 and the floor exercise is set for 11:23.

On the balance beam, all around champion Gabby Douglas will take her last shot at gold. She says her performances on beam the past week have her feeling confident.

"Beam has been excellent. If I can just do what I did in the all-around finals or team finals, then I'll be good," said Douglas. "I'm going to get a lot of rest, just rest up, and do a lot of therapies and relax my body and hopefully prepare for that."

Joining Douglas on the beam will be teammate Aly Raisman, who lost out on a bronze medal in the all around competition thanks to a tiebreaker. Raisman will actually have two shots at a medal tonight when she also competes in the floor exercise later on.

The favorite in that floor exercise will be another American, Jordyn Weiber. The reigning world all around champ was denied a chance at individual gold in the all around thanks to a rule that only allows two competitors per country. Wieber's score would have qualified her amongst the top 4. Her excellent floor exercise was a major contributor to the US all around gold win and now she'll be looking to add the individual hardware as well.

On the men's side, all around bronze medalist Danell Leyva and his American teammate Jonathon Horton will compete in the high bar.
