Andrew Bynum may soon be a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN.com. According to the report, a four-team trade could be completed by Friday morning that would send Bynum to Philadelphia, Dwight Howard and Denver Nuggets forward Al Harrington to the Los Angeles Lakers, Pau Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo to the Orlando Magic, and Andre Iguodala to Denver.
According to one source, the Sixers have not yet spoken with Bynum or his representatives. Bynum has just one year left on his contract, and has said all offseason that he would only sign an extension with the Lakers. Philadelphia is apparently willing to risk the center leaving after just one year to pull off the deal, however.
The deal would finally end the Howard saga that has tormented NBA fans for over a year. The Sixers would lose Iguodala in the process, but they would gain a solid post presence that has gone sorely missing in Philadelphia for a long time.
