Phillies Vs. Astros Final Score: Philadelphia Edged In Series Finale, 7-6

Looking to keep themselves afloat in the National League playoff race, the Philadelphia Phillies were unable to keep their late-season surge going on Sunday afternoon in a 7-6 loss to the Astros.

Philadelphia starter Roy Halladay scattered six hits and served up a pair of home runs before exiting after six innings, but escaped from the game with a no decision after a disaster from his bullpen. Houston reliever Wesley Wright tossed a clean seventh inning to pick up the win for the Astros, while Philadelphia strikeout artist Antonio Bastardo was saddled with his fifth loss of 2012.

Still facing an uphill battle in order to lay claim to one of the league's two wildcard spots, the Phillies will continue their road trip against the New York Mets from Citi Field on Monday. Cliff Lee is scheduled to take the mound to face New York Cy Young contender R.A. Dickey and his renowned knuckleball.
