Jason Kelce Injury: Eagles Center's Status Still Unclear

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has a complete tear of his MCL and a partial tear of his ACL, according to Eagles head trainer Rick Burkholder. This is a bit of good news as it was largely assumed that Kelce had suffered acomplete tear of his ACL, which would have ended his season.

This development creates an interesting situation for Kelce and the Eagles as the second-year center could potentially return this season depending upon how severe the partial tear of his ACL is. If he doesn't need surgery, he will miss up to six weeks while waiting for the MCL to heal. If he requires surgery on the ACL, he will be done for the year.

It will be determined on Tuesday following a scope of his knee whether surgery will be required. Head coach Andy Reid already announced that Dallas Reynolds will be filling in at center while Kelce is out.
