The Philadelphia Eagles were 2-0 and favorites on the road over the Cardinals — whose 2-0 record seemed fluky at best — entering Sunday's game, but after the first half, it's the Eagles' undefeated record that looks fluky. The Cardinals are trouncing the Eagles, 24-0, at halftime and putting a whooping on Michael Vick in the process.
Kevin Kolb is lighting up the team that jettisoned him two years ago, connecting on touchdown passes with Michael Floyd and Larry Fitzgerald and playing largely mistake-free football. He's 13-18 for 177 yards and those two scores, with no turnovers. Fitzgerald has torn apart the Eagles' secondary, Nnamdi Asomugha in particular, for seven catches and 105 yards.
Vick has fumbled twice and been sacked thrice. His second fumbled he was slammed from behind when the ball was inside the Cardinals' 10-yard line, and the ball was promptly picked up by James Sanders and returned 93 yards for a touchdown. That came as time expired, the kick in the groin Eagles fans didn't need after an abysmal first half. The Eagles have the firepower to come back, but they need to start fast.
