The Eagles have finally put some points on the board, but after three quarters, they don't have nearly enough. They still find themselves trailing on the road against the Arizona Cardinals, 24-6. Michael Vick continues to take punishment — he's been sacked five times already and lost two fumbles — and the Eagles can't break the goal line.
Alex Henery connected on field goals of 36 and 40 yards in the quarter as Desean Jackson and Damaris Johnson started to wreak havoc on the Cardinals' defense, but once the Eagles crossed the 50 yard line, everything stalled. Jackson has three catches for 43 yards and Johnson has four grabs for 68.
The Eagles defense hasn't been playing all that poorly — seven of the 24 Cardinals points came off a fumble return for a touchdown — but at this point, the Eagles offense, specifically Michael Vick, needs to do better. Vick is just 15-29 for 193 yards and no scores, and has rushed four times for 28 yards.
