The 2012 BMW Championship starts on Thursday with big-name stars readying for a great weekend at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind.
Among the headliners at the tournament is Rory McIlroy, who has been playing some of his best golf recently. The Northern Ireland product is coming off a great performance at the Deutsche Bank Classic, earning his third victory of the year.
Tiger Woods is also playing well. The 14-time major champion is in search of his fourth win of the year, to make him the leader for 2012 in wins. Both Woods and McIlroy will tee off at 12:48 p.m. ET.
West Chester, Pa. native Jim Furyk gets off to an early start, hitting his first ball at 12:37 p.m. ET alongside stars such as Phil Mickelson and U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson.
South Africans Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen will hit the course together looking for victory, getting underway at 1:54 p.m. ET.
