Week 1 NFL Odds: Eagles Vs. Browns

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to start their season off with a win, as oddsmakers have them favored by more than a touchdown as they start their season off against a young Cleveland team.

The Browns aren't expected to be as bad as they were last season, when they earned the No. 3 pick in the NFL draft, especially after the team used that pick and another first-rounder to reconstruct their offense with stud running back Trent Richardson and 28-year-old quarterback Brandon Weeden. That offensive unit will be greatly improved, but a dinged-up Cleveland defense will likely struggle against one of the more potent offensive units in the NFL: Michael Vick is healthy and LeSean McCoy looks to have another elite season at running back, while the Browns are missing at least three defensive starters.

The Eagles opened up as 6.5 point favorites, but have seen their odds improve as they are now favored in most books by either 8.5 or nine points.

Spread: Eagles -9

Odds: Eagles -430, Browns +340

Over/Under: 43
