Eagles Injury Update: Jason Babin Fully Back, Fletcher Cox Limited On Thursday

There is injury news to report on a pair of Eagles players heading into this weekend's opener with the Cleveland Browns. Jason Babin looks set to play, while Fletcher Cox is a bit more up in the air. Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo had the following to say when asked about Jason Babin, who participated without limitation today:

I think the thing that is important there is that they are going to rotate anyway. There’s different groups. Like I said there is a first and second down group rotation and then there’s a third down rotation.

When asked about Fletcher Cox Castillo had the following. Cox was limited in practice today, but did participate:

Well, I mean, Fletcher has just gotten better and better and getting more comfortable with our system. Again, Fletcher will end up being in that rotation. We’ll have eight guys rotating and possibly more depending on who suits up. Like I said, we really have three groups. You have a first and second down group that rotates and then you have a third down rush group.

Safety Colt Anderson and wide receiver Riley Cooper are definitely out, and both missed practice again today. Nate Allen, Jamar Chaney, Dion Lewis, Casey Matthews, Nate Menkin, and Cedric Thornton all participated in Thursday's practice without any limitations.
