NCAA bracket 2013: 3 Philadelphia schools in the tournament.

La Salle, Villanova and Temple all made the NCAA tournament 68-team field.

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

Three of the Big Five schools are in the NCAA tournament, as Philadelphia will be represented by the Villanova Wildcats, the Temple Owls and the La Salle Explorers.

Villanova received the No. 9 seed in the South region. They will play the No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday at 7:20 p.m. in Kansas City, Mo. The winner of that game will likely face the No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks in the third round of the tournament.

The Owls are the No. 9 seed in the East region. Their second-round matchup is against the No. 8 N.C. State Wolfpack at 1:40 p.m on Friday in Dayton, Ohio. If the Owls advance to the third round, they will likely meet the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers.

La Salle is a No. 13, and they will participate in the first round. They will play the Boise St. Broncos on Wednesday at 9:10 p.m ET. If they defeat the Broncos, they will move on to play the No. 4 Kansas St. Wildcats on Friday at 3:10 p.m. ET in Kansas City, Mo.
