Boise State's meeting with Washington highlights a weekend slate of bowl games.

Bowl season is slowly getting under way and three more games over the weekend will begin to kick the bowl season into high gear. Here is this weekend's schedule for bowling, featuring one ranked squad and five non-AQ teams capping off big years.

Beef 'O'Brady's Bowl: Ball State Cardinals vs. UCF Knights, Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Ball State puts a six-game winning streak on the line on Friday night when they take on UCF, Conference USA's hard-luck runner-up after the Knights lost in overtime in the conference championship game.

New Orleans Bowl: East Carolina Pirates vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns at noon ET on ESPN

Both teams enter the showdown on three-game winning streaks, but East Carolina hasn't won in its last three bowl appearances.

Maaco Bowl Las Vegas: Washington Huskies vs. Boise State Broncos at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Boise State finished the season with two losses and a No. 19 ranking, capping another strong year playing on the blue field. The Broncos get the Pac-12's Washington in Vegas.

A big three from James Bell completes a thrilling edition of the "Holy War" as Villanova tops St. Joe's, 65-61.

The 69th edition of the "Holy War" between the St. Joseph's Hawks and Villanova Wildcats proved a back and forth battle, but behind a late three from guard James Bell and some late St. Joe's miscues, Villanova prevailed, 65-61.

The Wildcats' victory brings the all-time series record to 44-25 in favor of Villanova, which extended its all-time series lead at home in The Pavilion. Villanova has now won three of its last seven meetings with the Hawks.

Neither team could put any distance between themselves and their rival throughout the game, as the largest lead either team held was five points. It was no different in the final minutes as the teams traded buckets down the stretch. St. Joe's pulled ahead by five with just more than two minutes left before Villanova reeled off nine unanswered points.

With St. Joe's down two points, 63-61, the Hawks got the ball back with just more than 10 seconds remaining, but St. Joe's could get a good look at a game-tying bucket or a 3-pointer on its first try. After Villanova forced St. Joe's to inbound the ball again, Hawks forward Halil Kanacevic unsuccessfully tried to bounce the inbounds pass off the Wildcats defender, instead bouncing it off his own leg to seal the Villanova victory.

Bell led a team effort for the Wildcats, as he and JayVaughn Pinkston scored a team-high 12 points. Bell and Pinkston's effort kept St. Joe from using guard Langston Galloway's 22 points to get the road victory.

The Eagles aim to snap their losing streak against the Cowboys while the Giants and Redskins square off in DC.

The Philadelphia Eagles' strive to snap their seven-game losing streak against their division rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night is among the NFL's highlights during Week 13.

A full slate of games also includes a primetime Monday-night meeting between the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants, both of which the Eagles and Cowboys continue to chase in the NFC East as the season hits its final stretch.

Both the Cowboys and Eagles will aim to rebound from tough Thanksgiving weekend losses. The Eagles dropped a game to the Carolina Panthers, 30-22. The Cowboys will try to replicate the result of a meeting between the two teams earlier this season, which Dallas came away from with a 38-23 victory in Week 10.

Here are some key weekend games to keep an eye on:

The Eagles pull up the back of most of Week 13's power rankings from around the internet.

In Week 13 power rankings from around the Internet, the struggling Philadelphia Eagles did themselves no favors last weekend, as they continued to drop toward the bottom of the 32-team lists for another week.

After falling to the Carolina Panthers, 30-22, over the weekend, the Eagles landed at No. 31 in SB Nation's weekly ranking of the best teams in the league, and Joel Thorman had only this to say about Philadelphia: "Still a train wreck."

Though Thorman's spot for the Eagles at No. 31 was the lowest among some of the rankings around the country, the Eagles didn't fare much better at ESPN.com, where Philadelphia was down three spots to No. 30 this week. ESPN seemed only interested in if the Eagles could still grab the No. 1 overall pick in next year's NFL draft.

At NFL.com, the Eagles were No. 28, beneficiaries of the New York Jets' equally underwhelming season, while eyebrows were raised at Bryce Brown's heavy load against the Panthers.

The Nittany Lions' season comes to a close Saturday against the Badgers, who are bound for the Big Ten Championship Game.

The Penn State Nittany Lions will close out their season Saturday when they welcome the Wisconsin Badgers into Beaver Stadium for a Big Ten showdown.

The 7-4 Nittany Lions can still claim an eight-win season despite postseason ineligibility and all of the emotional upheaval that the program has endured. After losing its first two games of the season, Penn State rebounded to reel off five straight victories before being stopped by the Ohio State Buckeyes at the end of October.

After winning two of their last three, Penn State now welcomes the 7-4 Badgers to town.

The Badgers' season will not come to a close Saturday, as Wisconsin will represent the Big Ten Leaders division in the Big Ten Championship Game. If the Badgers drop their regular-season finale to Penn State, Wisconsin would finish third in the Leaders division. With Penn State and Ohio State ineligible for postseason play, the Badgers will still appear in the championship game.

Trailing most of the game, the 76ers outscored the Raptors by 15 in the fourth quarter to grab their seventh win of the season.

Behind Jason Richardson's 21 points and Jrue Holiday's double-double, the Philadelphia 76ers completed a comeback on Tuesday despite trailing for most of the game, topping the Toronto Raptors, 106-98, for their seventh win of the season.

Philadelphia was unable to stop Toronto from leading most of the way in the first half. A three-pointer from Holiday as the first half closed that finally gave the 76ers a lead at the break.

Only able to extend their lead to as many as four points in the early going of the third quarter, the Raptors regained the lead behind DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, who finished with 24 and 13 points for Toronto.

The Sixers drew close again as the fourth quarter came to a close, with Thaddeus Young and Nick Young leading the way, but the Raptors seemed to hold off each comeback attempt.

Finally, after tying the score at 94, the 76ers were able to pull away, ending the game on a 12-4 run and grabbing the victory. The 76ers ended up outscoring the Raptors 33-18 in the fourth quarter.

Temple takes on Army in a late-season battle between two teams looking for a strong end their years.

The Temple Owls travel north to take on the Army Black Knights in West Point on Saturday in a afternoon showdown between two teams looking to end their seasons on high notes.

The 3-6 Owls have dropped four in a row after starting the season 3-2, as they have struggled in Big East conference play. The meeting with the Black Knights is a break from the grueling conference schedule the Owls have had in their first season as return members of the Big East. Temple's offense has not scored more than 14 points since the first weekend in October.

After dropping a key game to the Big East's Rutgers Scarlet Knights last weekend, the Black Knights will try to recapture the offensive prowess that led to a 41-21 victory over the Air Force Falcons two weekends ago.

Looking to rebound from a loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers last weekend, Penn State's defense will aim to improve upon an effort that allowed Nebraska to overcome a 20-6 first-half deficit last weekend. The Penn State offense, after scoring 20 points in the first half, scored just three in the second half in the 32-23 loss.

With two games remaining against Penn State and the Purdue Boilermakers, the 4-6 Hoosiers still hold out hope for bowl eligibility and could become eligible with victories in their final two games.
Temple tries to get back to .500 in Big East play against Cincinnati.

After snapping a two-game losing streak last weekend with a win against the Syracuse Orange, the Cincinnati Bearcats will travel to Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Temple Owls in a key Saturday Big East meeting.

Temple, which had opened its Big East schedule with two consecutive victories, has dropped three straight in conference play, including last weekend's loss to the now-BCS No. 9 Louisville Cardinals. The 28-point loss to Louisville followed a 30-point loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers the week before.

The Owls occupy the fifth spot in the Big East at 2-3, while Cincinnati's 2-1 conference record trails only the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Louisville.
