Conventional wisdom has the Eagles taking an offensive lineman with the fourth-overall pick in April, but SB Nation's newest mock draft has them taking a pass rusher.

Most mock drafts have Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles addressing the offense, which makes some sense. However, SB Nation's newest mock draft has the Eagles going with defense, and picking up a familiar face in Oregon defensive end Dion Jordan.

Just about everyone has slotted an offensive tackle to the Eagles. We're as guilty of it as anyone. But what if the training staff is adamant that Jason Peters will be back healthy? If he is, does a team take a right tackle in the top five? It's unlikely. Instead, look for Chip Kelly to make do with the pieces he has on offense and look for a difference maker on defense. Kelly is fully aware of Jordan's athleticism, and knows how to properly use him in the team's new 3-4.

Jordan may be the most athletic pass rusher available in this draft, so Kelly's familiarity with him may simply be the cherry on top. Whether that's enough to get them to pass on offensive tackle Luke Joeckel, assuming he's still on the board at fourth overall, is another matter. Either way, the Eagles have multiple needs that they could address with their first pick, so it's tough to go wrong.

For more information on Jordan, check out his SB Nation scouting report. He finished the 2012 season with the Ducks with 44 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss and five sacks.

The 76ers stayed close to the Nets all game long, but weren't able to seal the deal in Brooklyn.

The Philadelphia 76ers came close, but they ultimately fell short against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, losing 95-92 at the Barclays Center. Both teams have fairly even statistics, but the Nets shot 20 more free throws than the Sixers, converting 21-30.

Jrue Holiday led the Sixers with 24 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Thaddeus Young had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen had 15 and 12 points, respectively. The loss was Philly's sixth in their past seven games, and destroys any momentum they may have built off their impressive 99-80 win over the Hawks on Friday night.

Joe Johnson had 22 points to lead Brooklyn, and was one of six players to finish the game in double figures for scoring. The win snaps a three game losing streak for the Nets.

The 76ers next game is on Wednesday, Dec. 26, when they travel to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies.

After several days of deliberation, Michael Young is expected to approve a trade from the Texas Rangers to the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday.

After some waiting, Texas Rangers infielder Michael Young is expected to approve a trade to the Philadelphia Phillies sometime on Saturday. Young had been rumored to be going to Philadelphia for a few days now, but had to approve the deal due to his status as a 10/5 player. The Phillies are rumored to be sending reliever Josh Lindblom and a prospect back to Texas for Young.

Young has been in the league for 13 years, all of them with the Rangers. For his career, Young is hitting .301 with 177 home runs and 987 RBIs. The 35-year-old infielder hit .277 with eight home runs and 67 RBIs last season, which are either at or near career lows in all categories. The seven time All Star has played shortstop, third base, and second base, and also spent some time at designated hitter, but will likely spend most of his time at third base in Philadelphia.

An Eagles defender hasn't intercepted a pass since Oct. 14, and the team is understandably frustrated with its inability to force turnovers.

On Oct. 14, Nnamdi Asomugha picked off a pass from Matt Stafford. That was the last time a member of the Philadelphia Eagles intercepted a pass, and according to CSNPhilly's Rueben Frank, the six-week drought has the team understandably frustrated. It's almost difficult to believe that someone hasn't gotten a pick by accident during that span:

You’d think at some point a guy on the other team would have a ball bounce off his hands right to an Eagle. You’d think a quarterback at some point would just make a mistake. You’d think somehow a ball would end up in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s or Nnamdi Asomugha’s hands.

Juan Castillo was fired as defensive coordinator one day after the Eagles lost to the Lions, and the defense has actually gotten worse under Castillo's replacement, Todd Bowles. The Eagles are now tied for 27th in the NFL in interceptions at seven, which is only two more than the last-place Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles next play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose quarterback, Josh Freeman, has only thrown eight picks so far this year, so it's entirely possible that the interception drought could drag on for another week.

The Eagles and Bucs kick off at 1 p.m. ET from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

The Palestra hosts another Big 5 matchup on Saturday night, as the scuffling Villanova Wildcats will meet the Penn Quakers.

The Villanova Wildcats and Penn Quakers will get together on Saturday night at the Palestra for a Big 5 showdown, and the Wildcats are desperate for a win. After starting the season 3-0, the Cats have stumbled to losses in four of their past five games, two of which came at the hands of Big 5 rivals Temple and La Salle. The odd thing is that Villanova is shooting 42 percent from the floor as a team, which would make you think they'd be better than 4-4. However, they're turning the ball over an average of 17 times a game so far, which is too many.

Penn is also off to a poor start this year. It has started the season at 2-6, and has yet to play any other Big 5 teams. The Wildcats should be able to take care of the Quakers, despite both teams' troubles this year.

Tipoff from the Palestra is set for 8 p.m. ET, and the game can be seen on NBC Sports Network.

Week 4 has a lot of divisional matchups, but probably none as big as the Eagles hosting the Giants.

In a week full of divisional matchups, the highlight of the NFL's Week 4 schedule is the Philadelphia Eagles playing host to the New York Giants on Sunday night. Both teams come into the game at 2-1, and a win by either team, even this early in the season, would be huge in deciding the NFC East crown. Michael Vick and the Eagles face a tough test against a brutal Giants defense.

Elsewhere in the NFC East, the Dallas Cowboys host the Chicago Bears on Monday night, and the Washington Redskins head south to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philadelphia's five game winning streak came to an abrupt end on Saturday when the Braves beat up on the Phillies, 8-2. Roy Halladay only lasted 1⅔ innings, giving up seven earned runs on five hits and three walks. He also struck out three. Mike Minor earned the win, going six innings while giving up two earned runs and striking out six.

Freddie Freeman got the Braves off to a fast start in the first inning with a three-run home run. Things just got worse for the Phils in the second innings when Jason Heyward hit a bases-clearing, three-run double, which chased Halladay from the game. Chipper Jones followed that up with a double of his own, scoring Heyward to make it 7-0.

The Phillies got on the board with a pinch-hit sacrifice fly from Darin Ruf in the third inning, and Ryan Howard hit a home run to make it 7-2. However, the Phillies wouldn't get any closer.

The loss dropped Philadelphia four games behind the Cardinals for the last Wild Card spot. The Phillies and Braves play again on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. ET.
