Bowles has seen enough receivers ridiculously wide open, enough safeties biting on clear play fakes, enough catastrophically blown coverages, enough cornerbacks simply running the wrong way.
After the Eagles lost at home to the Panthers, 30-22, Monday night, their seventh straight loss, Bowles was blunt about his disgust with his team’s performance.
“It’s depressing,” he said. “It’s not about me, it’s about the team. We’re just trying to win ball games, and for that not to happen and for us to lose as many games as we did in a row is inexcusable, it’s unacceptable, it’s disheartening. I feel like everybody else feels. It’s a messed up situation.”
