Penn State Scandal: Mike McQueary Placed On Administrative Leave

Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary has been placed on paid administrative leave and will not coach Saturday against Nebraska, university president Rodney Erickson announced at a press conference Friday.

McQueary was the then-graduate assistant who testified that he saw former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky raping a young boy in the showers of a Penn State football building in 2002. According to the grand jury report released this past Saturday, McQueary told then-head coach Joe Paterno and met athletic director Tim Curley and senior vice president, but did not contact police or follow-up on the report he made to his superiors.

The Nittany Lions will take on Nebraska at home Saturday in their final game at Beaver Stadium this season. They'll be led by interim head coach and defensive coordinator Tom Bradley, who will hope to lead his team to a 6-0 record in conference play and bring Penn State a win closer to capturing the inaugural Leaders Division championship.
