Penn State Vs. Nebraska: Nittany Lions Return To Field After Scandal

After a week marred by scandal, Penn State returns to the football field Saturday against Nebraska.

After a week marred by scandal, arrests, firings and investigation, the Penn State Nittany Lions return to the football field Saturday at home against Nebraska (12 p.m. ET, ESPN).

For the first time in 46 years, Joe Paterno is not the Penn State head coach. That title now describes Tom Bradley, at least on an interim basis. Paterno was fired amid the scandal centering on former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky's sexual abuse of young boys, which engulfed the entire Penn State football program.

No. 12 Penn State (7-1) has won its last seven games, dating back to a Sept. 10 loss against Alabama. The Nittany Lions are 5-0 in the Big Ten, leading the Leaders Division by two games ahead of Ohio State.

No. 19 Nebraska (7-2) enters the meeting after losing to Northwestern last week, and will bring a 3-2 Big Ten record to College Station.

The Nittany Lions arrived at the stadium this morning to a boisterous cheering section:
