The Penn St. Nittany Lions knew a drop was coming in the USA Today coaches poll after their 17-14 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers Saturday afternoon. Penn State fell nine spots from No. 12 to No. 21 while Nebraska moved up only one spot from No. 17 to No. 16. The loss to Nebraska does not eliminate Penn State from the Rose Bowl as they still are in first place of the Leaders Division, but still have games against Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Other Big 10 teams in the coaches poll are the Wisconsin BadgersMichigan St. Spartans and Michigan Wolverines. All three teams moved up with Michigan State at No. 12, Wisconsin at No. 13 and Michigan at No. 20.
