It did not take Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen long to deny the report that he was going to be interviewing for the Penn State job. In a matter of minutes after the report, Mullen responded simply "No" to a reporter's question about the interview.
"Amidst all of these reports, neither myself, my agent or the administration at Mississippi State University has been contacted by anybody at Penn State," Mullen told The Clarion-Ledger. "I'm very happy of the direction the Mississippi State program is going in right now." (via Clarion-Ledger)
Mullen has now twice denied being a candidate to replace Joe Paterno at Penn State.
Mullen is 20-17 in three seasons as the head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
