BCS Standings: 'Bama Wins Title; Penn State Out Of AP, Coaches' Polls

The final college football rankings were released late Monday night, and the Penn State football program finished the year ranked No. 22 in the BCS standings, but failed to crack the top 25 in the AP or USA Today polls. The polls came out after the Alabama Crimson Tide dominated Southeastern Conference rival, LSU TIgers, 21-0, in the BCS National Championship Game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA,

The Penn St. Nittany Lions went through a lot this season and ended their year with a disappointing 30-14 loss to the Houston Cougars, Jan. 2, in the TicketCity Bowl at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX. However, the end result is that despite all the adversity the Nittany Lions (9-4) finished among the countries best.
