The Penn St. Nittany Lions landed a three-star or two-star OL commitment (depending on the recruiting service) from Wendy Laurent yesterday (via Altoona Mirror).
Laurent (6-4, 285) is an offensive lineman from the Hun School in Princeton, NJ. Laurent chose Penn State over other offers from Buffalo, Connecticut, UMass and Navy. Laurent is a versatile lineman who also played on the defensive line in high school.
Here's a highlight video of Laurent in action
Laurent is new head coach Bill O'Brien's seventh commit overall, but the sixth in the past three days. Penn State currently has 19 commits in the Class of 2012. College football's National Signing Day is on Feb. 1. However, it is important for Penn State to land commits before that date. O'Brien will be with the Patriots on Feb. 1 preparing for the Super Bowl.
