Penn State Football Recruiting: Skyler Mornhinweg Considering Florida, Virgina Tech

Penn State scored a coup when they lured four star QB Skyler Mornhinweg, son of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Marty, away from Stanford to Happy Valley. Now, however, they may be the victim of Mornhinweg's latest change of heart. According to reports, he is considering dropping his commitment to the Nittany Lions and instead opting for the Florida Gators on national signing day.

They have told another QB prospect, named Paxton Lynch, that they would not extend him a scholarship offer until they know whether. Skyler Mornhinweg spurns their advances.

"The Florida coaches told me that they were waiting until tonight to let that other quarterback, Mornhinweg, make a decision and they will let me know tomorrow what is going on," Lynch said.

According to the report from ESPN, the Gators expect to hear from Mornhinweg either way sometime on Thursday. However, even if Penn State fends off Florida, Mornhinweg is reportedly also taking a visit to Virginia Tech this weekend. If you want to play a little six degrees of separation... Sklyer is the son of Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg, whose current QB happens to be Michael Vick, who just so happens to be the greatest QB to ever play for the Hokies. Might Vick be lobbying Skyler to take a look at his alma mater?
