The Delaware Blue Hens women's basketball team will try and earn the program's first ever post-season victory Sunday, as they face the University of Arkansas-Little Rock in a first-round NCAA Tournament contest at 5:15 p.m. ET on ESPNU/ESPN2. The winner advances to the second round to face either No. 6-seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers or No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday at 9:30 p.m.
After ending its regular season with a 30-1 and ranked No. 7 in the country, Delaware earned a No. 3 seed in the Des Moines Region. In eight post season appearances, including the NIT, the Blue Hens women's program has never earned a victory. With the help of former national high school player of the year, Delle Donne, Delaware is hoping to break that streak.
Meanwhile, UALR earned a NCAA Tournament by defeating Middle Tennessee State in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament's Championship Game.
