According to sources of the Philadelphia Daily News, the Sixers have entered talks with the Denver Nuggets about a possible trade for F Carmelo Anthony.
The Sixers and Denver are talking about a potential trade that would bring Carmelo Anthony to Philadelphia and send Andre Iguodala to Denver, a Western Conference executive has confirmed to the Daily News.
The executive said Nuggets GM Masai Ujiri has spoken with Ed Stefanski.
While Anthony and Iguodala are the principal parts of the trade, there would need to be other players involved for the salaries to match up.
If the Nuggets are looking for the best value in return, it's hard to imagine that the Sixers could offer anything better than the reported Nets package of #3 overall pick Derrick Favors and two first-round picks.
