The Sixers grabbed their first win of the 2011-2012 season in emphatic fashion with a 103-83 victory over the Phoenix Suns at US Airways Center. Philly led by as many as 34 and opened the second half with a 19-0 run. The Suns didn't score their first points of the second half until there was just 5:30 left in the 3rd quarter.

Once again, the balanced attack that the Doug Collins led squad has come to be known for was on display with six players in double figures. Jrue Holiday and Andre Iguodala led all scorers with 15 a piece. Second year man Evan Turner put in another solid effort with 12 points on 6 of 9 shooting and seven rebounds. Spencer Hawes fell just short of another double-double with 9 points and 11 rebounds.

Rookie Nikola Vucevic saw his first action of the season getting 20 minutes thanks to the blowout and scoring 6 points to go with 6 boards.

Doug Collins moves to 3-0 against the Suns as the Sixers coach.
