Monta Ellis OUT as Sixers Face Warriors

Warriors guard Monta Ellis will miss tonight's game as the Warriors face off against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Golden State Warriors will be without their leading scorer tonight as guard Monta Ellis will miss the game due to a family matter. Ellis is averaging 21 points and 8 assists this season. However; the Warriors will get Ellis's backcourt mate, Stephen Curry back tonight, who missed the last game with an ankle injury.

The Sixers are coming off a crushing three-point loss to the Utah Jazz. The Sixers led by as many as 13, but failed to hold the lead as the Jazz grabbed their first win of the season during their home opener. Sixers sixth man Lou Williams scored 20 points off the bench, but missed two shots in the waning seconds with an opportunity to tie the game. Andre Iguodala also missed a pair of clutch free throws, as the Sixers were unable to make plays down the stretch.
