The Philadelphia 76ers' schedule will be released tonight during an NBA TV special that will reveal the 2011-12 schedules for all 30 NBA teams.
The broadcast begins at 7 p.m. ET. Schedules are expected to be announced at 7:15 p.m.
Very little about Philadelphia's schedule has leaked, but the 76ers will reportedly visit the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 28, shortly after the NBA season opens with five games on Christmas Day. Due to the extended lockout, NBA teams will play a shortened 66-game schedule rather than the accustomed 82 games. Teams are expected to play a higher percentage of back-to-back games, and schedules could even feature back-to-back-to-backs.
Philadelphia will look to improve on last year's 41-41 campaign, which resulted in a playoff appearance and a first-round exit at the hands of the Miami Heat. With coach Doug Collins at the helm, the 2010-11 76ers improved by 14 games.
