Phillies Drop Series Opener To Marlins 4-3

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Former Phillie Greg Dobbs delivered a pinch-hit, two-run single in the seventh inning, as the Florida Marlins downed Philadelphia, 4-3, in the opener of a three-game series at Citizens Bank Park.

Logan Morrison belted a solo home run and Omar Infante added an RBI double for the Marlins, who improved to 5-2 on their nine-game road trip. Florida starter Javier Vazquez gave up three runs on five hits and walked four in five innings. Edward Mujica (2-1) tossed one frame to pick up the win.

Raul Ibanez drove in two runs for Philadelphia, which returned home after a 4-2 road swing. Phillies starter Roy Oswalt allowed two runs on four hits and struck out six before exiting in the top of the seventh inning with a lower back strain.
