If the Philadelphia 76ers trade Andre Iguodala on Thursday night, either before or during the NBA Draft, they won't send him to the Sacramento Kings in a deal involving the seventh overall pick. Though Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports the Kings "have privately made it clear that they expect to trade the 7th pick," Philly won't be the destination. Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick, a former Kings beat writer, explains:
In case anyone wondered, I have been told the Kings are not in play for Andre Iguodala. He's not what they believe they need.
Iguodala has spent his entire seven-year career with the Sixers. Monday, Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD reported Philadelpia is prepared to trade him--though not for a player on a similarly pricy contract--and he is open to moving on.
