The Philadelphia 76ers will conclude their five-game road trip that began their 2011-12 season Wednesday, as they play at the New Orleans Hornets in a interconference match up at the New Orleans Arena (8 p.m. on CSN). The 76ers (2-2) have survived their road start with victories over at the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors, while dropping games at the Portland Trailblazers and Utah Jazz.
So far, Philadelphia is surviving by using its 3-points shooting, which currently is at 43.5-percent. Guard Lou Williams and forward Andre Iguodala have combined to hit 21 for 36 from beyond the arc. The two have also combined for an average of 37.0 point per game, while center Spencer Hawes has been outstanding, averaging 12.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
Meanwhile, the Hornets (2-3) probably will be without newly acquired guard Eric Gordon, who has missed the last four games with a bruised right knee, while guard Trevor Ariza, who left New Orleans last game with a strained groin, could also be absent.
