The Philadelphia 76ers announced via the club's official twitter page on Wednesday that center Mikki Moore and guard Xavier Silas have been waived. This brings the roster down to 16 players, with 15 available spots.
Moore was signed on Oct. 1 and had spent last season with the Golden State Warriors. Despite going undrafted out of college, the 7'0" center has managed to play 13 seasons in the NBA with nine different teams including the Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings. In 564 games, Moore has averaged 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 18.2 minutes per game.
Silas was signed this past September and had joined the Sixers for training camp last year before joining the club's D-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws. Silas eventually re-signed with Philadelphia in late April and played in two regular season games in addition to two postseason games. The 24-year-old guard went undrafted out of Northern Illinois in 2011.
