Continuing to trim down their roster, the Philadelphia 76ers waived center Dan Gadzuric on Thursday, according to a report from CSNPhilly.com.
The 10-year veteran participated in the team's training camp as Philadelphia's big offseason acquisition, Andrew Bynum, was sidelined with a lingering knee injury and Kwame Brown continued to get himself acclimated after missing most of last season playing for the Golden State Warriors.
Through the Sixers' first four preseason games, the 6'11, 240-pound Gadzuric hadn't seen any time on the floor. He only played in two regular season games last year with the New York Knicks.
With Gadzuric's departure, Philadelphia's roster is currently down to 15 players, as Bynum, Brown and forward Spencer Hawes will likely eat up the team's minutes in the paint.
The Sixers will play their next preseason game on Friday against the Brooklyn Nets. They will begin their regular season campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 31, at home against the Denver Nuggets.
