The Philadelphia 76ers meet the team that knocked them out of last spring's postseason Friday in the Boston Celtics, and then continue north to take on the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night.
After getting their record back to .500 with a 77-62 win over the New Orleans Hornets on Saturday, the Sixers will try to notch their first Atlantic division win, as their two losses came in a home-and-home series against the New York Knicks.
The Celtics were able to get by the Washington Wizards in overtime, 100-94, on Wednesday. Their record is now back to 2-2. Boston defeated Philadelphia in seven games in last season's Eastern Conference semifinals, though both teams underwent varying degrees of roster overhauls in the offseason.
Meanwhile, Toronto has dropped two straight after getting their only win of the young season over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 4. The consecutive defeats, however, have both come on the road against Western Conference powers, the Dallas Mavericks and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Also on Friday night's schedule, the unbeaten Knicks host the Dallas Mavericks while the Wizards host the Milwaukee Bucks. The Brooklyn Nets will be in Orlando facing the Magic.
On Saturday, the Celtics are on the road against the Bucks and the Indiana Pacers host Washington. Orlando is in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon, while the Miami Heat take on the Grizzlies in Memphis and the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers meet in the nightcap.
