The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 1-3 on the first half of their eight-game road trip and those losses, along with some other recent struggles, have dropped the 76ers further in the latest NBA power rankings.
Philadelphia dropped two spots to No. 23 in the latest rankings compiled by John Schulmann of NBA.com. That ranking puts the 14-17 Sixers behind several teams with a worse record, including three teams with 11 wins. While Schulmann pointed out the rough start to the road trip, he did note the Sixers lone win was an impressive one against Memphis.
While the 76ers dropped to No. 23 in NBA.com's rankings, they rose one spot to No. 22 in ESPN.com's latest rankings. The biggest difference between the two is ESPN's Marc Stein ranked the Sixers ahead of the 11-22 Detroit Pistons. Philadelphia's highest ranking came from the USA Today which has the 76ers at No. 20 for the second straight week.
All three power rankings have the Los Angeles Clippers at No. 1.
