Sixers Vs. Clippers: Batle Of 1st Place Teams Takes Place On Friday

The Sixers look to get their 19th win of the season against Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Clippers.

The 18-8 Philadelphia 76ers will host Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers tonight in a battle of two first place teams. The Sixers are fresh off a home loss to the San Antonio Spurs where Tony Parker torched them for 37 points and eight assists. The Clippers are also coming off a loss, a seven point defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Clippers are in the middle of a seven game road trip while the Sixers finish up a 15 game stretch where they played at home 13 times. The Sixers own a 13-4 home record; the Clippers are 5-5 in road games this season.

The biggest advantage for the Sixers will be the play of the two benches. Led by Louis Williams, Thaddeus Young and Evan Turner the Sixers have one of the most prolific benches in the entire league. The Clippers are second-to-last in bench scoring and just lost their second-leading bench scorer, Randy Foye, when he was inserted into the starting lineup for an injured Chauncey Billups.
