Spencer Hawes Injury Update, Sixers President: 'I Don't See Any Way He's Going To Play These Four Games'

Philadelphia 76ers center Spencer Hawes will be out until after the NBA All-Star break if Sixers president Rod Thorn is to be believed.

Hawes will be seeing a specialist for his strained left Achilles tendon. An MRI on the tendon came back negative (via Philly.com). Thorn said about Hawes seeing a specialist:

"That's what you always do with a player if he's not coming on as well as you'd like for it to be going," Thorn said. "You get a second opinion, and that's what we're going to do."

Hawes has missed 15 of the past 17 games with the Achilles injury. Hawes has averaged 10.5 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks per game this season for Philadelphia.
