With only eight games remaining in the 2011-12 NBA Regular Season, the Philadelphia 76ers have all but clinched a Playoff birth. They currently own the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference standings and at 31-27, they are a full three games up on the nine seed, Milwaukee Bucks.
The Sixers are riding a two game winning streak coming into Friday's game with the New Jersey Nets for the first time in over a month. One of their recent wins came against these very Nets, when they smashed them by 19, Friday in New Jersey. Kris Humphries, of the Nets, scored 20 points, 10 rebounds and four assists against the Sixers, in a losing effort.
Friday's game will be played at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. A win and a Milwaukee loss – who play in Detroit on Friday – would push the Sixers lead over the nine seed to four with seven remaining.
