76ers Vs. Nets Final Score: Sixers Clinch Playoff Berth With 105-87 Win

The Philadelphia 76ers clinched a berth in the 2012 NBA Playoffs with a 105-87 win over the New Jersey Nets on Monday night. The win guaranteed the eighth and final playoff spot of the Eastern Conference to Philly, who are three games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Sixers never trailed after a pair of Jodie Meeks free throws put them up 7-5 with 9:08 to play in the first quarter. Six players hit double digits in scoring Monday. Thaddeus Young scored all of his in the second half, however, to finish with 15 points on the night. Elton Brand and Jrue Holiday also added 15, as the Sixers shot 53.8 percent from the floor. Andre Iguodala came close to a triple-double, recording 14 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Deron Williams sat out as the Nets shot 43.1 percent for the game. Kris Humphries went 10-for-12 from the free throw line on his way to a 16-point, 12-rebound night. The Nets had little help elsewhere, however. Gerald Wallace went just 5-for-15 from the floor for 11 points and six rebounds.
