On Friday, the Philadelphia 76ers will look to bounce back from an abysmal loss in game three of the Eastern Conference semi-finals. After playing the Celtics tough two straight games in Boston – winning one – the Celtics came to Philadelphia and absolutely ripped the Sixers hearts out.
The Sixers dropped a cool 33 points in the first quarter, and led by five, but were out-scored 61-33 in the second and third quarters combined. Scoring seemingly a half's worth of points in the first quarter may have been the Sixers downfall, as some players felt the team's offensive explosion in the first quarter caused them to lose sight of their defense and become overconfident.
If the Sixers lose Friday, they'll trail the Celtics, 3-1, going back to Boston. In other words, series over.
