NBA Playoffs 2012, 76ers Vs. Celtics: Ready For Game 7

Game 7. The Philadelphia 76ers have not been to a seventh game in the playoffs since 2001. After their 82-75 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 on Wednesday night, the Sixers are now just one game away from the Eastern Conference Finals, with a very real shot at making it all the way to the NBA Finals, for the first time since 2001.

First things first, says Jordan Sams at Liberty Ballers, SB Nation's 76ers blog. The task at hand is beating Boston in Game 7 on Saturday.

But I'm getting ahead of myself - game seven will be no easy task. The Celtics will be fully rested after three days off, and undoubtedly have both the crowd, and the whistles in their favor - whether anyone wants to admit it or not.

However; don't let the external circumstances interfere with how special this experience will be. Game sevens are awesome - two teams on the brink of elimination, with one experiencing the sheer ecstasy of winning, when it's all said and done.

Wednesday night's appearance by Allen Iverson set an emotional tone for Philly fans. The dizzying highs of a seventh game could be the perfect follow-up to that.
