ESPN NBA draft insider Chad Ford reports that the Sixers, Thunder & Wizards are among the teams interested Dayton guard Chris Johnson as a potential second round pick.
Johnson averaged just over 12 points per game last year shot nearly 40% from 3 point land. Ford noted that while he measured just 6-3½ in socks, he had an amazing 6-11 wingspan and a big vertical jump. Those measurements certainly explain why he was such a good rebounder in college.
Ford says that overall Johnson came off as a good athlete in workouts and showed a nice shooting stroke. His main problem is that he may only ever be a spot up shooter. He’s not a great ballhandler and rarely got to the line in college.
