NBA Draft 2012 Rumors: Sixers Projected To Select Austin Rivers In Latest Mock Draft

The Philadelphia 76ers were once again linked to Duke freshman shooting guard Austin Rivers in a mock draft. Rivers was also linked to the Sixers as recently as last week.

In the latest SI Mock Draft by Sam Amick, he sees the Sixers taking Rivers with the No. 15 pick in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft. Here's what Amick said about the selection of Rivers (6-5, 203), who is the son of current Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers:

"The Sixers are well-equipped in their backcourt with young Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner, but Rivers could fit in nicely with his ability to create his own shot and play both positions. The bigger Ross is the better shooter and athlete of the two, but he doesn't have Rivers' versatility." (via SI)
