2012 NBA Draft Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Considering Jared Sullinger At No. 15

Philadelphia 76ers president of basketball operations Rod Thorn has stated his interest in drafting an athletic big man with the team's first-round pick in Thursday night's 2012 NBA Draft (No. 15 overall).

Jared Sullinger doesn't exactly fit the mold, but Thorn said the Sixers are considering the Ohio State big man with their selection.

Sullinger's stock has been falling as the draft approaches because of health concerns surrounding his back, and it didn't help that he was underwhelming during tests at the NBA combine. But the 6-foot-9, 268-pound center was dominant during two seasons at Ohio State, averaging 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game during his short college career.
