Sixers Free Agency 2012: Lou Williams Reportedly Signed With Hawks For Mid-Level Exception

Earlier on Tuesday it was reported that Lou Williams had agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Hawks. That multi-year deal with Atlanta will reportedly be worth the mid-level exception around $5 million (via ESPN).

Williams, the Atlanta native, opted out of the final year worth $6.39 million of his five-year pact with the Sixers in June.

Williams averaged a career-high 14.9 points and 3.5 assists last season for the Sixers and finished second in Sixth Man of the Year voting. Williams led the Sixers in scoring despite being a player who came off the bench, something which hasn't happened in the NBA since the 1993-1994 season.

Williams has played his entire career for Philadelphia after being drafted by the Sixers in the second round in 2005.
