Jrue Holiday Added To USA Select Team, Reportedly Wants Max Contract Extension

Philadelphia 76ers guard Jrue Holiday has been added to the USA Select Team that will play against the USA Olympic team this summer, according to a report from Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

Spears also reports that Holiday will be looking for a maximum contract extension. The 6-foot-4 point guard averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds last season, his third in the league. He boosted his production in the playoffs, averaging 15.8 points, 5.2 assists and 4.7 rebounds as Philadelphia earned a surprise berth in the second round and pushed the Boston Celtics to Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

At just 22 years old, Holiday is viewed as a player who should continue to develop. But a maximum contract extension would still be a surprise.
