NFL Power Rankings Week 11: Eagles Rocket Up The Ranks

The Philadelphia Eagles made a serious statement of intent to the NFL last night and the folks who make the power ranks are taking notice. Michael Vick’s legendary performance and the Eagles destruction of the Redskins in front of a prime time audience has put them in the argument for the best team in the NFC. When you consider that earlier this season they also blew out the Atlanta Falcons, who many considered the NFC’s best last week, the Eagles have a better argument to be #1 than you might realize.

If Birds beat the Giants next week, once again on national TV, I think the debate will pretty much be moot and the Eagles will take the top spot in the NFC and arguably the entire NFL. For now, our latest SBNation power ranks have the Eagles breaking into the league’s top 5.
