The NFL recently did a study of where every NFL player came from by state. They then released the list of the top NFL talent producing states. It should be no surprise to anyone that the top three are California, Texas and Florida.
↵Our local states fared well with Pennsylvania and New Jersey coming in at #7 and #8 respectively. PA has 56 players in the NFL, while NJ trails by just one at 55. It's a pretty impressive showing for New Jersey, which has about 4 million fewer residents and is much smaller than Pennsylvania.
