Michael Vick Signs First Post-Prison Endorsement Deal

This season Michael Vick got a starting job back, he got back to the playoffs, he's a Pro Bowler once again and now he's even got himself an endorsement.  Vick has signed a two-year contract to be the spokesman for Unequal Technologies, maker of the football pads Vick wore this season.

"We're real excited about it," Unequal Technologies chief executive officer Rob Vito said. "Michael is good people. He paid his dues. President Obama reached out to him. He deserves an opportunity. This is what makes America so great. He's moved forward. He's a whole other person."

Vito would say only that it's a "sizable" deal.

↵

"We believe it was worth it," he said, "because of Michael Vick and how he can shed light on the technology of our products."

It's certainly not Nike, but it's another small step forward for Vick. The first ad he appeared in this season was a local Nissan dealer which he wasn't even paid for. Getting a national, albeit lower profile company like Unequal is clearly another step forward.
